Ben Seawell 1957 - 2023

We lost Ben Seawell in January of 2023. Beautiful man, musician, composer, friend.

BENJAMIN SEAWELL

--Benjamin Crawford, age 65 died January 9, 2023. He was in the care of hospice and died surrounded by his loved ones. Ben was born on October 21, 1957. His formative years were spent in North Carolina. A musician, who played the upright bass, he attended Willian Paterson University and majored in Jazz Studies. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Picard, a sister Pamela Langford, brothers James Seawell and Ronald Seawell. He also leaves Jarrett Eavey his stepson, whose mother Ruth Kamalich died in 2009. Ben's last years were spent doing what he loved most, playing, and composing music and collaborating with other musicians. Ben will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and service to others.
